Today, we call it “Allstate roadside”. But in the 1960s? You were an Allstate Motor Club member! As the first national motor club operating in all 50 states, Allstate Motor Club gave travelers peace of mind as driving became a cornerstone of the American lifestyle.

Back in the day, membership included:

🔹 Arrest bond certificate
🔹 Travel planning
🔹 Theft reward
🔹 And more

While the offerings have evolved over time, the mission has stayed the same.

Today’s Allstate roadside continues that legacy by helping drivers get back on the road quickly when the unexpected happens.

For 65 years, Allstate has supported millions of family road trips, and it all started with the Allstate Motor Club.

How would you celebrate your 20th anniversary? In 1951, Allstate celebrated in a memorable way, surprising our first customer, William Lehnertz, with a brand new aqua green Studebaker. 🙌

Starting an auto insurance company was a gamble back then, and this was the perfect way to say thanks to the first person who trusted us to have their back.

These photos tell the story of the 100 Black Men of Jackson, Inc.—a story built on mentoring, brotherhood, faith, service, leadership, and community impact.

Whether we are engaging families at community events, supporting local churches, developing young leaders, serving alongside community partners, or representing Jackson on the national stage, our mission remains the same: to improve the quality of life within our communities and enhance educational and economic opportunities for African American youth.

This work is bigger than any one event or individual. It is about showing our young people what leadership looks like and helping them recognize what is possible for their futures.
