Steve Lyden’s workers’ compensation experience begins with 20 years in the construction industry. He was an owner of a contracting firm for 9 years, specializing in both residential and commercial remodeling projects. Steve was injured in 1994 on a construction site when a 1,000 lb Steel “I” beam crushed his leg. He was covered by his workers compensation policy, and after a long and financially p

ainful recovery he went back to construction. This was short lived however and in 1999 the injury forced him to seek light duty employment. Steve decided that since he could no longer “labor” the construction field, he’ll use his knowledge and expertise in a different capacity, as a Workers’ Compensation Insurance Broker. His knowledge for the industry aided in his success and by the end of 2001 an opportunity was presented for him to own his own Workers’ Compensation Broker Service Insurance Agency. In February 2002, The Lyden Group, LLC was officially launched as an independent Workers’ Compensation Broker Service. Steve’s goal was to help his clients find the very best workers’ compensation insurance coverage at the very best price. Since then, The Lyden Group has grown to assist over 500 clients throughout New York State for all types of commercial and personal insurance. The Lyden Group focuses on providing personal and detailed attention to each and every client. Steve currently resides in Clifton Park with his wife, Kristin, their four children and four dogs.
