Title Examiner Responsibilities:
· Review documents for completeness and follow up for any missing information.
· Examine documentation such as mortgages, liens, judgments, easements, Plat books, maps, contracts, and agreements to verify factors such as property legal descriptions, ownership, or restrictions.
· Compile, sort and verify the accuracy of data before it is entered.
· Compare data with source documents, or re-enter data in verification format to detect errors.
· Process orders on a timely basis, request tax certification on each order.
· Place order for payoff statements and direct payoffs to be returned to correct location.
· Assist with preparation of Settlement Statements.
· Maintain compliance with all policies and procedures.
· Perform related duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
· Must have at least 2+ years of Title processing or title closing experience.
• Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office Word, Excel and Outlook).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with staff and clients.
• Must be detail oriented.
• Customer service oriented.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Must be able to work under pressure and maintain daily production levels, meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service.
• Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.
