Interesting article from Barron's on life insurance. I've had many people ask my questions about these topics. I've never used fear to encourage people to do what is right for themselves, their family or their business. However, timing could be right for many people to act on their needs to get the proper protection in place.

Americans who have life insurance will be covered should they die from Covid-19, the disease caused by the new coronavirus, but those who lack coverage or are underinsured should consider moving soon before coverage options dry up.

IRS Tax Deadline Delay: What You Need to Know

Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin last Friday said U.S. taxpayers would have until July 15 to file their returns because of the coronavirus pandemic. (He had already pushed back the payment deadline to the same date.) Now the IRS has provided guidance with details about the extension, as The Wall Street Journal reports.
Here are some key things for financial advisors and their clients to know:
• The IRS has pushed back the deadline for 2019 IRA and Roth IRA contributions to July 15.
• Returns with automatic six-month filing extensions (from the normal April 15 tax deadline) are still due Oct. 15.
• If taxpayers owe penalties related to withdrawals from retirement accounts they made last year, the deadline for paying those penalties is now July 15.
• The IRS will not automatically delay automatic payments that taxpayers already set up for April 15. But taxpayers can take steps to cancel them. Filers who authorized electronic funds withdrawals by the IRS can call 888-353-4537, although they must do so before 11:59 p.m. ET two business days before their scheduled withdrawals. Taxpayers who use IRS Direct Pay or the Electronic Federal Tax Payment System (EFTPS) can also cancel payments, but they must do so two days before the payment date. And filers who scheduled automatic credit or debit card payments should contact their card companies.
