Walker Valley celebrated Homecoming in a BIG way with a dominating 49-0 win over the Ooltewah Owls! The Mustangs controlled the game from start to finish, with Layne Farris putting in great work on the line and helping Walker Valley shut the Owls down.

And Layne wasn’t finished when the clock hit zero. He capped off the night by being crowned 2026 Homecoming King, alongside Homecoming Queen Kadence Guyton! 👑💙💛

The Walker Valley Mustangs rolled to a dominant 56-0 win over Chattanooga Central! 🐎💨

The Mustangs scored at will on offense, while the Herd defense absolutely smothered the Pounders, holding Central to an incredible -70 yards rushing and just TWO first downs all night.

A big part of that defensive performance was #33 Brandon Satterfield, LB, who was all over the Central backfield:

The Walker Valley Mustangs opened region play in a BIG way Friday night, taking down region opponent McMinn County 29–13! 💪🐎

Our Week 3 Mustang Player of the Week is #8 Cason Cunningham, RB, who turned in a stellar all-around performance:

🔥 25 rushes | 122 yards
🔥 9 catches | 57 yards
🔥 43 kickoff return yards
🔥 222 TOTAL YARDS

Cason was making an impact all over the field and played a huge role in helping the Mustangs pick up an important region win!

Friday night was also a special milestone for the Walker Valley football program as Head Coach Drew Akins earned his 50th career win as the Mustangs’ head coach! Congratulations Coach Akins on an outstanding accomplishment! 👏
