Take a look at Box 2 on your W2. If the number is low, be prepared to pay Uncle Sam.

The IRS has confirmed that individual tax returns can be filed starting January 27, 2025. However, if you claim the Earned Income Credit (EIC) for a dependent, your refund will be delayed until after mid-February due to PATH Act requirements for additional verification.
