Thank you Independence Police Chief, Robert Butler, for taking the time to present to the Northeast Ohio Safety Council this morning. Your presentation about preparing for the the eclipse, events and traffic was especially enlightening! (Pun intended!) Thanks for reminding us all to be aware of our surroundings at all times and all the great safety tips today.
So everyone … if you’ll be out and about on April 8, be prepared to encounter more traffic than usual (like maybe 500,000 more cars than you’re used to). Leave early and be patient with law enforcement and safety forces. There is only so much they can do to keep all that traffic moving!

Trans-Siberian Orchestra and Minutemen Family of Companies donates $90k+ to St. Augustine Hunger Center

Cleveland, OH - On Friday, December 22, Trans-Siberian Orchestra performed two sold out performances at Cleveland's Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse. $1 from every ticket sold from the concerts was donated to St. Augustine Hunger Center. Local sponsor Minutemen Family of Companies and its President, Jay Lucarelli, added $65,000, bringing the total to $90,856 This amount represents the largest one-time donation to a local charitable organization in TSO’s touring history. Since TSO began touring in 1999, more than $18 million has been donated by the group to local charities throughout the county. St. Augustine Hunger Center has been the recipient of this local donation compliments of WNCX Radio and TSO.
