Thank you to everyone who supported our food drive this year. We are overflowing!!!!

Kelly, Kristy, Shannon, and I are so grateful for each of you caring for the food insecure children in our community. This food will be going to both county and city schools sack pack programs through The Caring Place and Wesley Memorial Church.

I have had several people ask what I won at The Trousdale School art show and auction so drumroll please…

I won a Tesla!!!!! … well a sculpture of one. I am so excited to have a piece of art created by TaJon Swafford who is the son of a great friend of mine. TaJon’s inspiration was a Tesla which fits perfectly with his creative mindset and not letting others tell him what is possible.

The annual Chamber coffee at The Trousdale School is one of my favorite events of the year. I love meeting the artists and how excited they are to show their amazing works! Looking forward to finding out what items I won tomorrow!

Today I had the privilege of meeting with and celebrating our manufacturing/ industrial sector of our community. It is truly the backbone of our community. It was also great to hear my good friend Charles Flanagain from Rise Resiliency speak on leadership and courage.

Thank you to Adam Osborne and HHM Certified Public Accountants for recently hosting a Pickleball/networking mixer. It was a great time learning how to play and greater conversations. I’ve already went out and purchased my own paddle.

September is Pediatric Cancer Awareness Month. Please to moment to remember Grayson and learn about The Grayson Foundation

Before cancer, Grayson enjoyed all kinds of things. He played on the Cleveland Middle School golf team all three years of middle school. He also played percussion all three years in the Cleveland Middle School band. He was on the chess team and excelled in math and science. While at E. L. Ross Elementary School, he participated on the Science Olympiad Team and the Math Competition Team. While at Yates Primary School, he played the role of Elvis in second grade in a school musical. He did a great job lip syncing and dancing like Elvis! Grayson also loved wearing headphones all the time, which became his trademark. He was a very confident kid!
Grayson was full of life and loved being around people. His life was tragically cut too short on 3/21/21, just two weeks after he turned 16. He was diagnosed with an aggressive pediatric brain tumor the month after he turned 14. He fought so courageously during his 23-month cancer journey and kept a positive attitude, despite so many awful side effects from treatments he endured.
There is now a foundation named in Grayson's memory that helps other local families who are battling pediatric cancer.
Grayson was a One of Kind. So I ask you in his memory to
"Be Unapologetically Yourself"
