I always wanted to be a history professor. My love for history started with my paternal Grandfather and Grandmother.
My Grandfather was a WWII combat medic with the Big Red 1 and saw major European campaigns like Northern Africa, Sicily, D-Day (Omaha Beach), and Battle of the Bulge.
He was a rare breed of GI who spoke about it constantly and my Grandmother was his historian. I got to hold his combat medals, including his purple heart, and I was immediately fascinated with history.
So, naturally, I excelled in those courses, but, and it feels weird to say, when I found out how DRASTICALLY underpaid teachers were, I shifted my focus to sales when I graduated College.
My Father had been in sales his whole life, how hard could it be? Well...REALLY FREAKING HARD is the answer to that question. Especially for a person like myself who wasn't a natural born salesman.
I struggled for the first 4 years. Really struggled. I knew it was time for a shift. So at the end of 2017, I dove into learning. I was a sponge. I read all the books, dove into the guidelines, listened to the gurus, and learned the markets and what affects them.
The way I did business totally changed. I led with education, not sales tactics. I found enjoyment in my work again, and I started to really excel!
2026 is my 13th year in the industry, and I can truly say I enjoy what I do. I love educating my clients and referral partners and I hope this page helps to further that mission.
