How much of my financial planning work should I actually give to AI?

Richie Holle’s answer is measured. He prefers doing the financial work himself first, then using AI as another checkpoint to review and support what he’s already calculated.

That keeps the advisor involved in the analysis while still gaining another layer of review and communication support.

Vincent Munno and Richie also explore the information that needs to go into these systems before the output can become useful for a client.

How are you currently using AI in your own advisory process?

Trying to grow your advisory firm while using outdated partners is like trying to win a race with the brakes on.

When Michael Riley began thinking beyond incremental growth, he reviewed every outside partner supporting the business.

He looked at their technology, expertise, service model, and ability to keep pace with a larger volume of work. Then both sides made adjustments so their processes could work together.

That evaluation gave his firm a platform capable of supporting a much larger vision.

Hiring more people is not always the first answer. Sometimes the better starting point is asking whether the existing structure is creating unnecessary delays.

Many advisors assume keeping marketing costs low is the safest decision.

Michael Riley discovered that sometimes the opposite is true.

The less expensive option could hold about 24 people. The country club could accommodate 50 or more and create an experience that felt different from what other advisors were offering.

He chose the larger venue.

This wasn’t about paying more simply to appear impressive. It was about looking at capacity, audience experience, and whether the investment supported the kind of advisory practice he wanted to create.

Sometimes the lowest-cost option is not the one that creates the most opportunity.

Do dinner seminars still work for financial advisors?

The better question may be, do they still help advisors create qualified appointments and meaningful conversations?

Vincent Munno and Jorge Villar explain why seminars have remained part of advisor marketing for decades. It's not simply about filling a room. It's about creating an environment where trust can begin and prospective clients can decide whether to continue the conversation.

Whether your approach includes seminars, educational events, or community presentations, the bigger lesson is that consistent outreach creates consistent opportunities.

Have seminars worked for your practice? We'd love to hear what's worked best for you.

Why do some financial advisors seem to book more client appointments than others?

It isn't always because they know more. Often, it's because they're consistently meeting new people and building momentum.

Vincent Munno and Jorge Villar explain how staying active creates confidence. When your calendar includes regular conversations with qualified prospects, you're no longer focused on finding the next opportunity. You're focused on helping the person sitting across from you.

That shift can improve your mindset, strengthen your presentations, and lead to better client conversations over time.

Why are some professionals quick to invest in marketing while others hesitate?

Jorge Villar shares an interesting comparison between real estate agents and financial advisors, and why confidence in marketing often comes down to trust.

The conversation isn't really about spending money. It's about investing in opportunities to build meaningful relationships with the right people.
