Buyers, listen up! There’s a lot of talk about how bigger is better when it comes to real estate. But does size really matter?

No! Here are some things you should know:

👉 Bigger homes cost more money. It’s common sense—if you want a 4-bedroom house and you can only afford a 2-bedroom house, then you’ll need to save up more money before you can buy it. And if the size of your home increases, so will its price tag.

👉 If your home is too big for your needs, it will be harder to maintain. You might need an extra maintenance budget just to keep up with the upkeep of all that extra space. Or worse yet, you might end up moving out because it’s just too much work!

👉 You don’t need a huge backyard if you don’t have kids or pets! You might think that having tons of space is great… but if no one ever uses it anyway, what good does it do?

A new survey by Bankrate has revealed the top 10 states to retire in for 2023, and Florida has come out as the #1 choice by those polled.

Florida scored highly for its warm weather. Another critical factor was the low taxes, including no state income tax. It also boasts a large retirement community already of people over 65 years old, meaningful diversity, and a variety of cultural and entrainment activities to participate in.
