This past weekend, HBM and Control Devices employees attended Annie's Hope annual fundraising event known as The Chocolate Affair. Annie’s Hope is a St. Louis-based nonprofit that provides comprehensive support programs to children, teens, and their families who are grieving a death of a close family member. The event included an evening of chocolate tasting from local bakers, chefs, and other confectioners. Echo Jia at HBM is a member of the young professional board at Annie’s Hope, and HBM was pleased to serve as a platinum sponsor for this event.

HBM was proud to sponsor the College Bound Cram Session Trivia Night for the 3rd year in a row and thrilled with a 2nd place win by our team the “HBM Brainiacs”. It was a great night to celebrate the successes of the current College Bound students and raise money to support future classes.

A huge thank you to our employees at HBM Holdings, Mississippi Lime Distribution Services - MLDS, and Schafer Industries who came together to support those in our Greater St. Louis region through our campaign. We are excited to announce that our employees have contributed almost $60,000 to help those in need in the St. Louis region.

Our organizations will match those contributions dollar for dollar, for a total contribution of $120,000 to the United Way of Greater St. Louis. Through our campaign, we are making a difference in the lives of 1 in 3 people in the St. Louis region.

HBM is committed to the communities we live and work in. Last week, we partnered with the United Way of Greater St. Louis to assemble dental hygiene “Smile Kits” for The Youth and Family Center. This community-focused in-office volunteer event also provided a great opportunity for us to connect with one another.
