Meet Barrett, owned by Emily and Justin Long. He has a condition called physitis. Physitis involves swelling around the growth plates of certain long bones in young horses. He is being managed by his veterinarian through strict dietary and exercise restrictions. Freedom PEMF Therapeutics was given the opportunity providing several sessions to reduce pain, swelling and inflammation to his carpal and metacarpal (knee) area.
Physitis can happen with rapid growth and nutritional imbalances. While the Longs have an excellent nutritional regiment, this condition can still occur. Freedom PEMF Therapeutics reduced his swelling by phenomenal 4 cm! That’s a lot on a bony area! He is such a good boy and I’m excited for his future! I would like to thank the Longs for taking such good care of Barrett and all their horses. Emily Long is highly respected with her expertise in training and breeding programs. They also freeze and ship stud semen all over the US! Thank you again for allowing us to work on Barrett.
