WINTER WEATHER ALERT FOR LUZERNE AND LACKAWANNA COUNTY

We here at Biondi-Franklin wanted to touch base concerning the upcoming snowstorm we’ve all heard so much about. Local forecasts indicate bitter temperatures, large amounts of snow, and heavy winds. We have a few recommendations that can keep you safe in potentially dangerous conditions:

1. Gather An Emergency kit: include flashlights, batteries. Blankets, water, and non-perishable foods.
2. Avoid Travel If Possible: Stay home unless there is an emergency. Road conditions may be dangerous. Salt your sidewalks to lessen the chance of injury.
3. Stay Informed: Watch for any updates from local advisories from the National Weather Service.
4. Prevent Frozen Pipes: Drip faucets during extreme cold to keep water moving and lessen chance of pipes freezing. If a pipe bursts, shut off the water supply immediately to limit damage.
Always remember, prevention is the best protection. Taking these measures in advance can help you avoid disaster.
