Abington Heights Civic League Dance Academy Started in 1957 our studio teaches children pre-K through 12th grade. Our annual recital theme is "Children Dancing for Children."

All proceeds are given to child-centric organizations in the community from our fully non-profit organization.

We are so happy to have you with us!

About Alexis:
Alexis began her dance journey at six years old with Dave Ragnacci's School of Dance in Scranton, PA. While pursing her Bachelor's Degree at Hofstra University (Hempstead, NY), Alexis joined TranscenDANCE Hofstra, where she began choreographing for and providing instruction to her peers - even getting the opportunity to open for Flo Rida in the Fall 2019 semester. After graduation (and COVID-19), Alexis returned to dancing at her hometown studio, where she eventually began demonstrating, holding workshops, and substitute/assistant teaching.
Over the years, Alexis has built a strong foundation across a wide array of styles, including Ballet, Pointe, Tap, Jazz, Hip Hop, Lyrical, Contemporary and Musical Theater. Alexis brings extensive hands-on experience guiding dancers of all skill levels, from young students to adults. Having formerly been a competitive cheerleader, she is excited to work with AHCLDA's competition team and step back into the competition world. Alexis is thrilled to begin sharing her passion for movement, fostering a strong classroom community, and helping the next generation of dancers reach their full potential!

💗🩰 We’re getting excited to kick off a NEW dance season at Abington Heights Civic League Dance Academy! 🩰💗

There’s still time to join us for the 2026–2027 season, and we still have space available in several classes!

✨ AHCLDA is the Abington area’s only nonprofit dance studio, with classes just $175 per class for the FULL YEAR! Quality instruction at low cost to allow all students access to the arts 🎭

We’re especially excited about some of our new and expanded offerings:

🩰 NEW Adult General Dance — a fun mix of jazz, ballet, lyrical & modern
👞 NEW Adult Tap — all levels welcome!
🎶 NEWLY added Jazz for Grades 1 & 2 on Saturday!
💗 Plus ballet, tap, hip hop, lyrical, acro, musical theater, pointe and more!

Our adult classes still have room available, so whether you danced years ago, have always wanted to try, or are simply looking for a fun way to get moving — come dance with us! Tuesdays and Wednesday nights both have options to participate in the exciting new offering!

🌟 We’re also thrilled to welcome FOUR new teachers to the AHCLDA family! Please help us give a warm welcome to Miss Alexis, Miss Dawn, Miss Cassidy & Miss Kylie! They’ll be joining our amazing returning dance team of Miss MacKenzie, Miss Jenna & Mr. Michael! We are SO proud to have these talented staff call our studio home! 💕 AHCLDA💕
