Applications are now open for the 2026 Young Farmers & Ranchers Discussion Meet competition. The Discussion Meet simulates a committee meeting where discussion and active participation are expected from each participant. By participating, young men and women build basic discussion skills, develop a keen understanding of important agricultural issues and explore how groups can pool knowledge to reach consensus and solve problems. The Discussion Meet provides young men and women opportunities to strengthen their ability to analyze agricultural issues and decide on solutions.

This competition is evaluated on an exchange of ideas and information on a pre-determined topic. The judges look for the competitor who offers constructive criticism, cooperation and communication while analyzing agricultural problems and developing solutions.

The 2026 Discussion Meet will be held Dec. 2 and 3 at the Arkansas Farm Bureau Annual Convention in Hot Springs. The deadline to enter is Nov. 13. Applications and information can be found here: https://arfb.com/pages/get-involved/young-farmers-ranchers/young-farmers-ranchers-discussion-meet/.

The 2026 winner receives an all-expenses-paid trip to the American Farm Bureau Annual Convention. The convention will be held Jan. 8-13, 2027 in Charlotte, N.C.

That time again! After a bye week for CHS, they took on Des Arc this past Friday!

William Wise, Senior, tacked on 10 tackles, 2 for loss, and 5 receptions for 70 yards last week!

Congrats Will! This week the Lions take on Lee County, if you can make it out to Marianna, it should be a good game! Go Lions!

Arkansas Farm Bureau knows the importance of families in our communities.
They’re the mom at the grocery store, the dad coaching Friday night lights, the child
sitting at the next desk. Real people right in your hometown. Farm Bureau is proud
to amplify the voice of farmers and ranchers across the state, like ArFB state board
