Hello neighbors as a friend and local business owner here at The Ganyo Insurance Agency

I wanted to make you aware of an issue that is becoming more and more common in our community. Root invasion into our sewer and water line systems is on the rise. I have had 3 requests for claims in the last 2 months.

Service line coverage is a very problematic issue as the city and association generally have no coverage for this and neither does the base Homeowners policy. The coverage is generally only covered by a "Service Line Endorsement" Damage from this whether by root invasion or decay can run as high as $20,000 and can leave you responsible for that repair alone.

Wondering if this could possibly affect you? Walk your sidewalks if they have had to grind them level there is roots invading the lot. Roots spydering across the lot they are most likely in the lower grade as well. Several of you selling your homes are now being asked for a scope of that sewer line before sale. It's not unreasonable, who wants a new home purchase that includes sewer damage.
