Dear Health-Wise Partners Clients and Concerned Parents of Cincinnati,

I hope everyone is having a great summer!

For anyone who is on a CareSource marketplace plan, I understand that many of you have been quite concerned for the past couple of months. Although Cincinnati Children's Hospital initially was going to cancel their contract with the CareSource marketplace plans, the two parties reached an agreement this past week.

Many parents chose their CareSource plan simply because Children's Hospital was in network. I am very grateful that the contract has been renewed and kids can continue to get the necessary treatment at the best facility within hundreds of miles.

Great News!!! OPEN ENROLLMENT for health insurance has been extended this year!!! President Biden signed an executive order due to the COVID-19 emergency to allow individuals and families to sign up for Affordable Care Act (ACA) qualified major medical plans starting today. The new open enrollment will be available from February 15 - May 15, 2021. If you sign up today, you can even get covered as soon as March 1st.

If you weren't able to sign up for coverage for 2021, you have the opportunity to do so now. This means that all of the options are on the table again. You can sign up for ACA plans, which cover maternity, pre-existing conditions, and/or give you the potential to use a tax credit to lower the cost of your health plan.
