Xavier Sustainability Our goal is to encourage the Xavier community to live sustainably, meeting the needs of the present w

Keeping with its Jesuit tradition, Xavier University has a history of commitment to social and economic justice. It now seeks to broaden the traditional interpretations of those commitments to include a more significant emphasis on environmental stewardship. Xavier Sustainability focuses on the relationship between Community (social justice), Economy (financial equity), and Ecology (envrionmental consciousness). Our purpose is to inform our friends and neighbors, both in the Xavier community and abroad, and encourage them to live sustainably and harmoniously.
