Your cybersecurity risk might be hiding in your Downloads folder.
Old attachments. Forgotten PDFs. Files with sensitive information. Documents you downloaded once and never deleted.
The same goes for using your inbox as a filing cabinet.
Good cybersecurity isn’t only about firewalls and passwords. Good digital housekeeping matters too.
A few habits worth building:
- Delete files you no longer need
- Move important documents into approved, secure storage
- Be cautious with email attachments and links
- Keep your inbox organized and remove sensitive information when appropriate
- Use multi-factor authentication and strong passwords
Small habits can reduce unnecessary exposure.
