Key Medicare Dates:
September:
Private plans will send notices if there is any change in cost, coverage, or service area. These changes will go in effect in January 2023
Open enrollment:
October 15 – December 7 2022 Medicare Advantage plans and Part D prescription drug plans begin accepting applications for the upcoming year. The open enrollment ends on December 7, 2022 and new plans go into effect January 1, 2023.
General enrollment:
January 1 – March 31 202 During this time if you are enrolled in a Medicare advantage plan and you want to change to another Medicare advantage plan or go back to original Medicare with or without drug coverage you may. However you can not make changes if you have original Medicare.
Initial Enrollment:
If you are turning 65 you may enroll three months before your birthday month, the month of your birthday, or up to three months after your birthday month.
