Good news for Medicare Beneficiaries for the coming year!

“Each year the Medicare Part B premium, deductible, and coinsurance rates are determined according to the Social Security Act. The standard monthly premium for Medicare Part B enrollees will be $164.90 for 2023, a decrease of $5.20 from $170.10 in 2022. The annual deductible for all Medicare Part B beneficiaries is $226 in 2023, a decrease of $7 from the annual deductible of $233 in 2022.”

Medicare part B premiums will jump 14.5% this year to $170.10 per month as well as an increase in the part B deductible, from $203 to $233! 😱

This is a larger than projected increase. The jump is being blamed in part on a newly FDA approved treatment for Alzheimer’s which Medicare has not fully determined if it will cover for beneficiaries. And also in part due to rising costs related to Covid 19.

It’s not too late to check your coverage for 2022!
