📢 Volunteer Opportunity – Value Adjustment Board Citizen Member

The Jackson County Board of County Commissioners is seeking one citizen member to serve on the Value Adjustment Board (VAB).

⏰ Application Deadline: July 1, 2026, at 4:00 PM CT

This is a volunteer position with a one-year term, unless reappointed by the Board.

To be eligible, applicants must:
- Own homestead property in Jackson County
- Not be an employee or member of a taxing authority
- Not represent property owners in VAB matters

The VAB hears appeals related to property tax assessments, exemptions, and classifications and helps ensure a fair process for property owners.

Notice of Special Meeting

The City of Bonifay will hold a special meeting on Monday, June 15th, 2026, at 5:30 PM. The Council will enter a closed exempt session pursuant to sections 286.0113(1), 119.071(3)(a), and, to the extent applicable, 281.301, Florida Statutes.

Our regular session will begin at 6:00 PM.
