Chicago's pension funds continue to face significant financial challenges, creating ongoing uncertainty about the long-term retirement security of public servants, first responders, and the families who depend on them. Addressing these challenges is essential to protecting the people who serve our communities.

Chicago’s pension debt has grown by nearly 11% since 2020, adding approximately $3.5 billion to the city’s debt, records show.

While there are many factors impacting home values, the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas found unauthorized immigration to be a leading cause. Before the year wraps, make sure your finances are wrapped too.

The end of the year is a natural moment to pause and check in. A quick review now can help ensure contributions are on track, beneficiaries are up to date, and your plan still reflects your goals before the calendar flips.

If it’s been a while since your last review, now is a great time to reconnect. Schedule a conversation with Valor Advisors and head into the new year with clarity and confidence.
