This past weekend, Ashley Roldan and Keith Strong had the pleasure of attending the Annual Italian American Labor Council Dinner Dance. The event honored the legendary Bob Morreale from the Concrete Contractors Association for his decades of dedicated service and hard work. Ashley Roldan (Account Support Coordinator, Union and Commercial Services) said “My biggest takeaway from the evening was seeing just how powerful a brotherhood can be when they stick together and recognize each other's contributions. It was a true honor to celebrate Bob and watch different unions come together in complete solidarity. Seeing that bond is exactly what makes working at ABOC so special. We are incredibly fortunate to partner with these unions and witness the real-world impact of their hard work and accomplishments firsthand. As an added bonus, I loved catching up with one of our very own retired ABOCers, Mike Somone, and getting some fantastic mentoring advice! It was an unforgettable night, and I certainly hope to be invited back next year!”

Congratulations to International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) on a successful 2026 Fall Conference! ABOC’s Trina Tyler-Franklin and Illiana Ebbole were proud to attend the conference on October 5 -7, 2026 at Harrah’s Resort & Casino in Joliet, Illinois. IBEW Locals’ leaders from across the state gathered to collaborate with one another, share knowledge, and discuss current issues and legislative updates. ABOC was thankful to support our IBEW union customers and to meet new IBEW leadership and delegates. We’d like to extend a big thank you to Bill Niesman, Conference Charman, and Business Manager, IBEW Local 9 for his strategic leadership of the event and to the Conference Executive Board for the hospitality enjoyed by all. Even though there wasn’t much luck on the casino floor – it was certainly a big “win” being with the IBEW Unions’ leadership and partners!

ABOC’s Corporate Trust Team enjoyed seeing new and familiar faces at the 2026 annual IGFOA Conference, which was another great success. The conference theme this year was “Finance Forward: Insight, innovation, and impact.” Cecilia Vargas (Trust Officer) said, “I had a really nice time at the IGFOA Conference. This is my 2nd conference and it is a great experience. Having our ABOC booth there made it easy to meet our clients & potential clients. I enjoyed the conversations and chance to connect with professionals in the same industry and share what we do."

The celebrated qualities of courage, confidence, and character coincide with many of the Bank’s core values, and we are honored to support the organization in helping young women to reach their full potential while connecting. learning, and having fun! Chynise Cunningham (Senior Vice President, Human Resources) is a lifetime member of Girl Scouts and works closely with Girl Scouts leadership, including Denise Samulis, Girl Scouts Senior Director of Corporate Partnerships. Chynise said “I loved being a part of this year’s event celebrating the 20th anniversary of Camp CEO. I am very proud to be a Girl Scouts Member and to work for ABOC. It means a lot to be a part of two organizations that support women in reaching their goals and I am inspired by my experience as a mentor.”

Members of ABOC’s Commercial Lending team enjoyed cheering on the Cubs this month with valued clients and friends Bob Dickinson from Greater Illinois Title Company and Mike Krueger & Casey Domek of LakePointe Apartments & Development. The games were extra special not only because the Chicago Cubs clinched a playoff spot, but also because the Bank recently welcomed ABOC’s new Commercial Lending Officer, Stephanie Traeger to the team which is another big win for Chicago. Welcome, Stephanie!
