As a member of the Track and Field team, he qualified for NCAA national competition in the Hammer throw event. He is single handedly responsible for knocking out the power to the whole campus twice during practice by hitting the power lines — the wiring has since been moved underground. Sean has always had a curious entrepreneurial spirit and patented a track and field hammer carrying case while still a senior in college. Using his salesmanship, he licensed the right to manufacture the bag to MF Athletic, who sold it in their catalog to other track and field teams around the world.
