Optiver's Charitable Task Force has partnered with Erie Elementary Charter School, helping them to invest in a better food program for their students and faculty. The new sustainable food program, Gourmet Gorilla, has exposed everyone at the school to both cultural and healthy foods. From entrées like orange chicken to traditional Mexican dishes like pazole verde, the students and faculty alike have been enjoying the delicious new offerings.

Earlier this week, a few of our employees had the opportunity to visit Erie Elementary to meet the staff and students and see how the new food program has made an impact. Not only did they make a few new friends, but they put their science and engineering skills to the test by participating in some small fun projects with the students.

Last week, our team visited CMU to talk tech in the trading industry, specifically around hardware. The session was led by a previous Optiver intern, Anish Singhani, who did a phenomenal job teaching a StuCo class on chip design.

We wrapped up our visit by networking with our newly-hired CMU students over brunch – a fun and delicious way to get to know our new coworkers!
