Urban Equities, Inc.

Urban Equities, Inc. Urban Equities, Inc. Formed in 1993, Urban Equities, Inc. is a real estate development company. We are proud of our work and look forward to doing more.

On a selective basis, we also provide consulting services to clients who lack in-house capabilities. Our core strategies are linked to the deployment of investment capital in under-resourced, urban markets for purposes of improving lives, transforming communities and generating an attractive return on investment. To help protect the scope, schedule and budget underlining our development projects,

our general contractor affiliate – Urban Equities Construction LLC – is sometimes utilized. Combined, this business infrastructure enables us to provide best-in-class solutions directed towards measurable results, while maintaining financial alignment with our investment priorities. Our Capabilities

*New Construction
*Building Rehabilitations
*Office Fit-Outs
*Corporate Roll-out Programs
*Planned Capital Improvement Programs

Sample Previous Client/Partner Base

*Institutional Real Estate Investors
*Commercial Lenders
*Corporations
*Governmental Entities
*Public-Private-Partnerships (P3s)

Since our founding, Urban Equities, Inc. has sought to be difference makers in making the world a better place through equitable place-making. We believe that “real estate is the instrument (leverage) that we use to be in service to global communities. When used properly, this leverage can regenerate disrupted communities, thereby adding value on a continuous basis for generations to come” (Bill Reed, Regenesis Group). For many years, we have dedicated our time, talent and resources in black communities where trustworthy value renewal has been desperately needed. What We Stand For

MISSION

To assert our corporate will to
be difference makers for
investors and clients who
trust us with their vision. VISION

Demonstration of professional
excellence with respect and
positive energy for all our
clients and partners. VALUES

*Integrity is not a theoretical concept. It matters. Honest stewardship is important.
*Be nimble, but focused. Our thinking must be flexible and adaptable, but not compromise the execution strategy.
*Our partners and clients deserve reliable information. Our advice must be trustworthy. The numbers should make sense. The action plan should be achievable. The results should be measurable. We should all be able to sleep at night. To learn more about our company, visit www.uequities.com.

A Refreshed Company Website: SO WHAT?

Updating my company's website has been like.....vacating a home after 24+ years.....accumulating volumes of information.....remembering the laughter & tears.....thinking about the many people who connected with or visited our home.....evaluating life lessons vs. perceived losses. Without a doubt, this process has been a brain twister.....challenging in every way. It's easy to see why some folks don't move from their homes after many years.

For now, this is Urban Equities, Inc. - a dream that unfolded in 1993.

Take a look at some of our journey:

Community & real estate development strategies flow from one’s personal viewpoints about human beings; money; environments; justice matters; and, problem resolution strategies, to name a few. These thoughts invariably influence financial modeling and likewise dictate deal structuring. The direct i...

I really enjoyed chatting it up with Michael Davidson and others on the "Trust Talks" Podcast by the Chicago Community Trust. We didn't solve the world's problems, but we touched on some meaningful solutions....at least I hope so. 🙂

In this episode of Trust Talks, Michael Davidson, senior director of community impact who’s leading the Trust’s Catalyzing Neighborhood Investment team, sits down with Lennox Jackson, founder and CEO of Urban Equities Inc, Ja’Net DeFell, program manager of Community Desk Ch...

It was great sharing thoughts with Crain's Chicago in this article. Yeah.....there are unique challenges to Black and Brown developers across America. Those of us who are informed are not at all surprised by that. BUT, I choose to believe that more ambitious, courageous and faithful Black and Brown real estate professionals like me will commit themselves to using their brain trust and resources to make a difference. It may be tough going, but the money eventually comes. Be intentional to stick with it and hang in there. Be a Producer; not a Consumer! Cheers to Black and Brown real estate developers everywhere!
