➡️LAST CALL for NEW clients until next May!

On January 4, 2026, I will be leaving to go on a 4.5 month world cruise. This has been a long-time dream of mine and I'm so excited that it is finally happening.

I will have good WiFi on the ship, and there will be lots of "sea days" (days where we do not stop in a port), so I will still be available to do check-in calls with my current clients.

But NEW clients must book by November 30, 2025, or wait until I return in May, 2026. So, if you have been thinking about doing financial coaching with me, now is the time!

The first step is booking a free 30-minute intro call so I can get an idea of your situation and you can find out more about what I offer.

If you decide to go ahead with coaching, I offer two coaching packages:

➡️For couples: five 60-minute sessions for $350

We are going through some hard times right now. Our political system seems to be in constant chaos, economic indicators are bad, and every day the news seems both frightening and surreal.

And against this backdrop we all have our own personal struggles and challenges. I see this with my coaching clients, who are often dealing with financial challenges while also managing medical issues, worries about job loss, and caring for other family members.

Do you know what interest rate you are paying on your credit cards?

If you're not sure how to find out, look at your monthly statement. They are required by law to list it there.

While you are there, take a look at how much you paid last month in interest and fees. Then do the same thing for any other credit card you have, and add them all up.

Does the number surprise you?

This is an exercise that I do with my coaching clients, and people are often surprised at just how much they are paying. Especially for high-interest credit cards, like one I found that was at 39%!

(It was store card, BTW.)

If you suddenly lost your job, what would you do to pay the rent or mortgage?

And if it took 3 to 6 months to get a new job, what then?

One of the biggest things you can do to be financially healthy is to have savings available to cover basic life situations–like a job loss.

Yes, it is possible to use credit cards, but you are setting yourself up for a possibility of years worth of debt pay-off once you do find a new job.

The results from compounding interest can seem almost hard to believe. But yes, you could make a baby a millionaire by just letting a small amount of money grow over time.

That being said — why don't people do this? First of all, most parents are saving for their child's education, not their retirement. And many people would want to use that money earlier in their life, like for buying a house.

But it is entirely possible — and this kind of long-term thinking is part of how generational wealth is created.

Don't believe the numbers? Type "investment calculator" into any search bar and check it for yourself.

(Also FYI the average return on the S&P 500 for the last 50 years was over 10% so this is actually a conservative projection.)

It is one of the most basic questions of personal finance. But have you ever thought about what it REALLY means to answer the question “Can I afford it?”

Do you just look at the balance in your checking account? Or do you go with your gut? Is it okay if the monthly payments aren’t too high? Or do you just see which credit card still has room? Or, if you are a very frugal person, maybe the no matter what the answer is “no!”

I know, we don't want to start thinking about the holidays! But now — not after the fact when the bills come due — is the time to start thinking ahead about what extra expenses will be coming up between now and the end of the year.

This might include:

- holiday travel
- annual payments that are coming due (like insurance renewals)
- holiday gifts
- fall/winter birthdays
- extra groceries for holiday meals
- Halloween costumes, candy and decorations
- holiday/seasonal clothes
- holiday entertainment

Make a list, and then estimate how much you will spend on each item. Does what you are planning fit into your budget? If not, are there items you can cut out, or do in a less expensive way? Or can you find some extra income to help pay for them?

Planning ahead can be intimidating, but it helps you stay in control. It also helps you see the bigger picture of how holiday spending fits into your overall financial picture.

Does it all seem too much? You don't need to struggle alone! I can walk you through it step by step, and together we can find a system that works for you.
