Almost 10 years ago, I took this photo while visiting the Missouri State Capitol in Jefferson City.

I was there advocating to state legislators on issues important to my community, and I stopped when I came across the bust of Edward D. “Ted” Jones Jr.

Ted Jones helped shape the Edward Jones we know today by believing that financial advice should be personal and that financial advisors should have a presence in the communities they serve. He helped develop the branch office model that brought financial advisors closer to individual investors throughout Missouri and eventually across the country.

That philosophy has always resonated with me.

For the past 18 years, I’ve had a strong presence in the community I call home. Being involved, listening to people, serving alongside them, and understanding the issues affecting families and businesses has given me a perspective that also makes me a better financial advisor.

Financial planning is ultimately about people. Understanding what matters to someone, what they’re working toward, and what concerns keep them up at night is every bit as important as understanding investments.

I’m proud to continue that tradition of personal service, and I’m currently accepting new clients. If you’re looking for a financial advisor or simply would like a complimentary second opinion on your current financial strategy, I’d be happy to have a conversation.

I’m incredibly grateful for the recognition I’ve received from Edward Jones over the years, including most recently for Client Service Excellence in 2025.

What means the most to me is what these awards represent: the trust clients place in me, the relationships we’ve built, and the opportunity I have every day to help people make thoughtful decisions about their financial futures.

I’ve been in financial services for more than 25 years, and during that time I’ve seen just about every kind of market environment imaginable. I’ve worked through the dot-com bubble, 9/11, the financial crisis, the COVID-19 pandemic, periods of rapidly rising interest rates, inflation, market corrections, and some tremendous bull markets as well. Those experiences have taught me how important it is to stay disciplined, keep perspective, and avoid making emotional decisions based on short-term headlines. I believe living through those cycles has made me a better financial advisor because I can help clients put difficult moments into context and stay focused on the long-term goals that matter most to them.

At the end of the day, I still believe the most important part of this business is simple: listen carefully, understand what matters to each person and family, and be there for them through every stage of life.

Thank you to my clients, colleagues, friends and family who have supported me along the way. I’m very fortunate to do work that I truly enjoy.

If you or someone you know is looking for a financial advisor, or would simply like a complimentary second opinion on your current financial strategy, I’d be happy to have a conversation.

NVIDIA's earnings reinforced the strength of the AI investment cycle, while Kevin Warsh's Jackson Hole remarks provided greater clarity on the Fed's inflation-fighting priorities. Despite seasonal headwinds, the fundamental backdrop for equities remains constructive.

Angelo Kourkafas, Sr. Global Investment Strategist, discusses the latest developments in AI, Fed policy, and markets in this week's Weekly Market Wrap.

It was a pleasure to attend a recent meeting of the Rotary Club of West St. Louis County and spend time with people who share a commitment to serving and strengthening our community.

One of the things I value most is the relationships I build beyond the walls of my office. Staying engaged with local businesses, civic organizations, and community leaders helps me better understand the people and families I serve.

Rotary’s motto, “Service Above Self,” is a great reminder that strong communities are built by people willing to give their time and talents to others.

Thank you to the Rotary Club of West St. Louis County for the warm welcome and for all you do throughout our region.

Yesterday I attended the monthly West St. Louis County Chamber of Commerce meeting, always a great opportunity to connect with local business owners and community leaders.

Being engaged in the community helps me better understand the people, businesses, and challenges shaping our area, and that perspective helps me be a better financial advisor.

It was also great catching up with Lori Kelling, pictured here. Lori has been with the Chamber for 20 years and, along with Heather and the Chamber team, has helped make it one of the premier chambers in our region.

One of the things I value most about these relationships is the opportunity to meet people, learn what matters to them, and be a resource when financial questions come up. I’m currently accepting new clients, and I’m always happy to have a conversation with anyone who wants to talk through their financial goals.

Being involved in the community has always been important to me, both personally and professionally.

Yesterday, I had the opportunity to participate in a ribbon cutting for a new local business here in our community.

As a financial advisor, I believe being part of the community means more than simply having an office nearby. It means showing up, supporting local businesses, building relationships, and staying connected to the people and organizations that help our community thrive.

I’m always glad to take part in moments like this and support the people who are investing in and helping strengthen the communities we call home.

Staying connected to the community is an important part of how I approach my work as a financial advisor.

I recently attended a West St. Louis County Chamber of Commerce meeting, where local business and community leaders came together to share updates, exchange ideas, and hear more about what is happening throughout our region.

Being actively involved in the community gives me the opportunity to build relationships, stay informed about issues affecting local families and businesses, and better understand the economic environment in which my clients are making important financial decisions.

Whether the conversation is about retirement, investing, preparing for a major life transition, or simply getting a second opinion on your current financial strategy, I’m always happy to be a resource.
