👁️ Glaucoma is sometimes called the “silent thief of sight.” That's because about half of people who have it don’t even know it, and vision loss is usually permanent. The early stages of glaucoma typically have no symptoms.

The only way to detect glaucoma early is through a painless eye exam. Medicare Part B covers a glaucoma screening once every 12 months if you’re at high risk. This includes those with diabetes or with a family history of glaucoma, as well as those of African American ancestry over 50 and of Hispanic ancestry over 65.

If you’re in a high-risk group, talk to your doctor about scheduling a screening.

Many students are putting on caps and gowns this month and receiving those hard-earned diplomas. Graduation is the start of new opportunities, big goals, and important life decisions. As you or your family members step into this next chapter, it’s a great time to think about building a strong foundation for your future.

Time for the real "adulting" to begin... to start earning and protecting what you've earned. To plan for what’s ahead. As any graduate already knows, small steps over time add up to big life changes.

It’s National Limerick Day on May 12th, a perfect excuse to have a little fun with words ✍️

Want to write your own limerick? Here’s a quick and easy guide:

A limerick is a 5-line poem with a catchy rhythm and a specific rhyme scheme: AABBA.

• Lines 1, 2, and 5 rhyme with each other and are longer
• Lines 3 and 4 rhyme with each other and are shorter
• The rhythm is bouncy and playful (think: da-DUM da-da-DUM da-da-DUM)

A simple structure looks like this:
Line 1: Introduce a person/place
Line 2: Add a detail
Line 3: Build tension or humor
Line 4: Continue the twist

Wacky cake. King ranch casserole. Prairie hot dish. Some of our favorite memories are made in the kitchen around nostalgic recipes. We treasure Mom's recipes passed down, as well as new ones we invent together. A shared meal is a tradition that never fails to bring a family together. 💐
