Annual Enrollment for Medicare (October 15th – December 7th) may be over, but did you know you may still have the option to switch your plan? The next enrollment period begins January 1st and runs through March 31st.

During this enrollment period, Medicare beneficiaries who are enrolled in a Medicare Advantage plan have two options:
• Drop their Medicare Advantage plan and return to Original Medicare, with the option to add a Part D prescription drug plan, or
• Switch to a different Medicare Advantage plan.

Those who lost their Medicare Advantage plan because the plan left their county may also qualify for a Special Enrollment Period for up to 60 days after the loss of coverage.

❗️❗️❗️Health Insurance Marketplace Deadline Extension❗️❗️❗️

Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services announced that the deadline to enroll for a January 1st effective date has been extended until December 18th. Annual Enrollment will go through January 15th as usual however for a January 1st start date the enrollment deadline was extended to December 18th. All enrollments after December 18th will have a February 1st start date. Call 231-420-4136 for more information or help with enrollment

Open Enrollment is October 15th - December 7th. 2025 annual prescription drug out-of-pocket costs will be capped at $2,000 for people with Medicare Part D. A new payment program will also be offered. It is important to understand how this may impact you.
