VA loans have always been one of the strongest mortgage options for eligible buyers.

The problem?

A lot of people still believe outdated myths about them.

Starting May 1, 2026, some VA appraisal requirements are being simplified, which may help reduce repair issues, seller hesitation, and closing delays.

That does not mean every VA loan is automatically easy.

Some people spend their lives taking care of everyone else and never think homeownership is possible for them.

This one meant a lot.

A hardworking nurse and a police officer came to me thinking buying a home was probably out of reach. Between rising prices, monthly bills, and hearing “no” before, they honestly didn’t think it would happen.

But today, they’re homeowners.

That’s why I love what I do. Sometimes it’s not about finding a perfect file — it’s about finding the right plan, the right strategy, and helping good people navigate the process the right way.

If you’ve been told no before, or you think buying a home is impossible right now, don’t count yourself out yet.
