Much has been said about the Sandwich Generation, those people who are raising children and meeting the increased needs of their aging parents. Mark Solheim, in his From the Editor column of Kiplinger’s Personal Finance (02/2019), aptly referenced them as The Panini Generation. Thinking about that sandwich under all of that heat and pressure, and you get the analogy.

Suzanne Burrell, CFP®, is an Advisor with Capital Square, LLC. Suzanne focuses on clients serious about growing and effectively managing their wealth. She guides clients and their families to take charge of their financial future, living confidently today and in the years to come. Asset management within a financial planning framework is central, seeking optimum growth within her client’s risk/reward comfort zone while also addressing concerns and opportunities in risk management, estate planning, and tax planning. Regarding her experience, Suzanne entered the investment industry in 2007 as an Advisor with a national brokerage firm but then moved into the fee-only environment working for wealth management firms such as Bellwether Investment Group, Guardian Wealth Management, and HHM Wealth Advisors. Her previous career as a Financial Manager for a commercial construction company followed 11 years owning an accounting services company. Regarding her education, she attained the Certified Financial Planner™ professional designation in 2012 and maintains her Tennessee life and health insurance license. She completed the Executive Program in Financial Planning at the University of Georgia's Terry College of Business and her undergraduate work at Carson Newman University. Through the years, Suzanne has served her community as President of the Ooltewah Council of the Chattanooga Chamber of Commerce, founder of Women Mean Business, and is an active member of Estate Planning Council of Chattanooga, Kiwanis Club of Chattanooga, Chattanooga Women’s Leadership Institute, LeanIn Chattanooga, and First Baptist Church of Cleveland. On a personal note, Suzanne enjoys walking outdoors, growing herbs and vegetables, dabbling in Yoga, and personal and professional reading. She and Jerry, her husband of 35 years, play serious Canasta and plan trips around Jerry’s golf game and visits to their daughter and son-in-law, who lives on the West Coast. They enjoy spending time with their son, daughter-in-law, and first grandson, Asher. Suzanne and Jerry prioritize their faith, family, and friends, and life is good!
