New federal requirements for a CDL take hold Monday, and it could have a major impact on hauling grain and livestock more than 150 miles from your farm. It could also cause an even bigger shortage of truck drivers.

Did you know that on a single night, more than half a million Americans go homeless, which represents 0.2% of the US population. Of those homeless persons, 65% are sheltered whereas 35% are living on the streets. I was honored to be able to tour this amazing facility that was started by an incredible woman with a heart of gold! I was deeply deeply touched by her passion to help those who are dealt an unfortunate set of circumstances that left them homeless! This organization provides emergency shelter to those in need in Carbon County and short term housing for those who need the time to get a job and save towards affording independent living! That is why I am going to be working in November and December to help this organization and with your help too we can assist in providing shelter, a warm bed, warm food, and warm hearts to those who really need it! Everyone has their “My Why”, why you get up at 4:30am to go to the gym, why you push your hardest throughout the day, why you keep your house in order, why you chose the profession you chose, why week in and week out you continue to motivate yourself to be the best that you can be. Here is “My Why”: Why I sneak into her room at night just to hear her breathing, why I can’t wait till 6pm to pick her up from daycare to hear her stories about her day, and most importantly why I always push myself to be the best in front of her and when she isn’t around. I want her to appreciate the value of hard work, I want her to see true motivation. I want her to see with hard work there are successes and there are failures, but at least if you give it 100% you can be proud of yourself no matter the outcome! Here is to going to Kindergarten and learning and living at 100%!!!
