I’ve seen some pretty impressive things growing in gutters.

Leaves and dirt sit in there, they get wet, seeds find their way in, and before you know it you’ve basically got a little garden growing on your roofline.

And besides looking terrible, all that stuff holds moisture and adds weight to your gutters.

If you look up and see green stuff growing out of them…

This deck was definitely overdue for some attention. 😂

A good cleaning can make a HUGE difference, especially when you’ve got dirt, algae, leaves, and all the other stuff that builds up outside.

And once it’s clean, it’s a lot easier to see what it actually needs — whether that’s a good sealing, staining, or maybe a few repairs.

Okay, here’s something to watch the next time it rains.

If water is pouring over the sides of your gutters instead of going through them, there’s a pretty good chance something isn’t right.

Usually they’re clogged, or there’s a problem with how they’re draining.

And all that water has to go somewhere.

It can run down your siding, wash out your flower beds, pool up around your foundation, and just generally cause problems that you don’t want.

Your gutters are supposed to move water away from your house. That’s their whole job.

So if yours are overflowing every time it rains, don’t just ignore it.

And if you can’t remember the last time they were cleaned… 😂 it’s probably time.

Property Watch 👀

One thing a lot of homeowners don’t think about until there’s a problem is their gutters.

Keeping them cleaned out regularly can save you from a lot of headaches later.

When gutters get packed full of leaves, pine needles, dirt and whatever else ends up in there, the water can’t drain like it’s supposed to. Then it starts overflowing, running down the side of your house, getting into your landscaping, sitting around your foundation, and causing problems you really don’t want.

And the gutters themselves can get heavy and stay wet all the time, which isn’t exactly great for them either.

If you’ve got a bunch of trees around your house, you may need them cleaned more than once a year.

That’s actually why we’re starting our scheduled gutter cleanout program. We can put you on a quarterly, every-other-month, or even monthly schedule depending on your property.

That way you don’t have to remember when they need to be done. We do. 😂

Okay, but look at this driveway. 👀

Sometimes you don’t realize how dirty something has gotten until you clean a section and can actually see the difference.

This one was definitely overdue for a good cleaning, and I love how much brighter the whole front of the house looks now.

Your gutters probably need you more than you think they do. 😂

Especially with all the trees around here.

Leaves, pine needles, little sticks, dirt… it all adds up. And once your gutters stop draining properly, that water has to go somewhere.

We’re offering scheduled gutter cleanouts now, so you can put it on a regular schedule and quit thinking about it.

Quarterly is a great option for most homes, but we can also do every other month or monthly depending on your property.

A little behind the scenes of landscaping… 😂

When we’re adding or replacing rock in a flower bed, I like to bring a few different options with me so the homeowner can actually see what they’re getting.

Sometimes you want to match what’s already there. Sometimes you realize you like something completely different once you see the options.

So yes, I literally carry around a box of rocks. 😂

It makes picking out the right one a whole lot easier, and I’d much rather have you love it when we’re finished than realize afterward that you picked the wrong rock.

This driveway was looking pretty rough, so we gave it a good cleaning!

It’s crazy how much of a difference a clean driveway can make. This one had a lot of dirt and buildup on it, and it cleaned up really nicely.

We do driveways, sidewalks, patios, porches, decks, houses… pretty much all the exterior stuff that gets dirty and you keep meaning to get around to. 😂
