Learning can be delicious! 🧈🐄

Murray County Farm Bureau Office Manager Alicia recently visited the 5th graders at Woodlawn Elementary School to share the history of butter and teach students how it’s made the old-fashioned way — right in a mason jar!

The students had a blast shaking their jars and watching cream turn into butter while learning about dairy farming and agriculture in Georgia. Hands-on lessons like these help connect students to where their food comes from and the hardworking farmers who produce it every day.

Thank you to Woodlawn Elementary for welcoming us and allowing us to share the importance of agriculture with the next generation! 💙🌾

Alicia and Katie had a wonderful time visiting Coker Elementary, Northwest Elementary, and Eton Elementary this week to spend time with the 1st graders! They read the fun story Chick, Chick, Chick, Chick, Chicken and followed it up with a creative farm animal sticker craft.

We always enjoy the opportunity to share the importance of reading and agriculture with our local students while making learning fun and interactive. Thank you to these schools for welcoming us into your classrooms! 🐥📚🐄🐷

This past week, our Office Manager and Secretary had such a fun time visiting Woodlawn Elementary and Spring Place Elementary! 🐔📚

They spent time with the 1st graders reading Chick, Chick, Chick, Chick Chicken and talking all about farm animals. The students loved getting involved and sharing what they know about life on the farm!

To wrap things up, everyone enjoyed a hands-on farm animal sticker craft that brought lots of smiles and creativity to the classroom. 🐄🐷🐥

We always enjoy opportunities like this to connect with our local schools and help share the story of agriculture with the next generation! 🌱💚

A wonderful celebration of agricultural literacy in our community!

Alicia Partin, Office Manager of the Murray County Farm Bureau (left), and Tena Porter, a representative from NGEMC (right), recently presented a copy of the children’s book "I Love Blueberries" to Victoria James Catalano, Children’s Coordinator at the Chatsworth-Murray County Public Library.

This generous donation was made on behalf of the Georgia Foundation for Agriculture, Georgia Farm Bureau, and Georgia Electric Membership Corporation to help promote agricultural awareness and education among young readers.

📚✨ Making a difference one page at a time! ✨📚

We’re proud to share that our Georgia Farm Bureau Office Manager and Secretary recently visited the Murray County elementary schools to spend time with 3rd grade students! They had a wonderful time reading with the kids and helping them get creative by designing their very own scratch art bookmarks. 🎨📖

Moments like these are what it’s all about—encouraging a love for reading, sparking creativity, and building connections within our community. The smiles, laughter, and imagination in those classrooms made the day truly special!

Thank you to the schools and students for such a warm welcome—we can’t wait to come back again! 💙
