Alicia and Katie from Murray County Farm Bureau recently visited Woodlawn Elementary and Spring Place Elementary to spend time with their kindergarteners! 🧡
The kiddos enjoyed listening to The Pumpkin Seed’s Secret and then got creative with a fun pumpkin life cycle craft! 🎨🌱 From seed to pumpkin, our students learned about the amazing journey a tiny seed takes to grow into a pumpkin!
We love having the opportunity to visit our local schools, encourage a love of reading, and share fun ways to learn about agriculture! 🚜🌾

Calling all young farmers and ranchers! Join us on October 24th from 9:00 AM–2:00 PM for the District 1 GFB Young Farmers & Ranchers Meeting!
Spend the day exploring agriculture in Northwest Georgia while connecting with fellow Young Farmers & Ranchers and getting an inside look at some great local agricultural operations. 🚜🌱
The day will include:
🌱 A tour of Sims Sod Farm
🐄 A visit to Bickett Genetics
🤝 Time to meet and connect with other Young Farmers & Ranchers
🍴 Lunch and fellowship

🚜🌱 The AG Bus Visits Coker Elementary! 🌱🚜
On September 24th & 25th, the AG Bus made its way to Coker Elementary for two fun-filled days of hands-on agriculture education with our 3rd–5th grade students! 🐄🌽🐖
Murray County Farm Bureau Secretary Katie was excited to be part of this experience and help students learn more about agriculture and the important role it plays in our everyday lives.
The students had a wonderful time exploring the AG Bus, asking questions, and participating in the hands-on activities. We loved seeing their excitement as they learned about agriculture in such a fun and interactive way! 🌾❤️
A special thank you to our wonderful Murray County Farm Bureau Board volunteers who helped make this experience possible: Missie Petty, John and Amber Loughridge, and Linda Loughridge! We truly appreciate you giving your time to help educate and inspire the next generation. 💚
