β€οΈ National Good Neighbor Day β€οΈ
βLike a Good Neighborβ may be one of the most recognizable phrases associated with State Farmβbut being a good neighbor has been part of the companyβs story from the very beginning.
State Farm was founded in 1922 by G.J. Mecherle with a pretty simple idea: insurance should be fair, should reflect a customerβs actual risk, and should work for the people it serves.
More than a century later, that customer-first mentality is still at the heart of what it means to be a Good Neighbor.
A few pieces of State Farm history we thought were worth sharing:
- 1922: State Farm issued its first auto policy.
- 1929: State Farm Life Insurance Company launched, with G.J. purchasing the first policy.
- 1935: State Farm Fire Company was created to help protect homes and property.
- 1972: State Farm created its own Special Disaster Services unit to help customers more quickly following catastrophes.
- Today: State Farm continues combining personal relationships with new technology to make helping customers faster and easier.
For us at The Mack Agency, being a Good Neighbor means carrying that tradition forward right here in our own communityβbeing there to answer questions, help when the unexpected happens, and take care of the people who trust us.
