Step right up! We closed out our Summer Series in style with a spectacular Carnival celebration filled with excitement around every corner. Residents and associates enjoyed magical performances and live music, a fortune teller, and a charismatic ringmaster. There was something for everyone to enjoy!

And let's not forget the food! The carnival fare was fantastic, with the churros stealing the show. Thank you to all who came out to celebrate, laugh, and make lasting memories together. What a wonderful way to end the season!

A special thank you to our incredible Wellness & Lifestyle Coordinators for bringing this event to life with such creativity, energy, and attention to detail. We are also grateful to our Dining Services team for delivering a delicious carnival-inspired menu that delighted everyone in attendance.

Finally, we extend our sincere appreciation to the WCBR Foundation and its generous donors. Through their commitment to enhancing the lives of those we serve, opportunities like this become possible. Their support helps create meaningful experiences, foster connection, and bring joy to our community, and for that, we are truly thankful.

What a peachy day! 🍑 Our residents had a wonderful time visiting Chiles Peach Orchard in Crozet, enjoying the beautiful surroundings, fresh air, and great company. Residents explored the orchard, browsed delicious local treats, and experienced one of Central Virginia's favorite family destinations. It was a day filled with smiles, laughter, and special memories together.

Who says Christmas only comes once a year? Today, we brought the magic of the holiday season to summer with our Christmas in July celebration! Residents and associates enjoyed a special visit from Santa, wonderful entertainment from a live band, and delicious food prepared by our amazing Dining Services Team.

A special thank you to our Wellness & Lifestyles Team for coordinating this festive event and creating such a joyful experience for everyone. We would also like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to the WCBR Foundation and the generosity of our donors, whose support helped make this celebration possible.

Every Wednesday for the last 2 1/2 years, Scout, the beloved therapy dog of residents Bill and Randy Baskerville, makes his much-anticipated visit to our Vista residents, bringing smiles, comfort, and plenty of tail wags along the way.

Today’s visit was extra special as we celebrated Scout’s 13th Birthday in style! The festivities included a delicious birthday cake created just for the guest of honor, plenty of birthday wishes, and thoughtful gifts and toys from the residents who adore him. Scout’s weekly visits have become a cherished tradition, creating meaningful connections and brightening the day for everyone he meets. His gentle spirit, loving presence, and unwavering companionship bring joy not only to our Vista residents but to our entire community.

Thank you, Randy and Bill, for sharing Scout with us each week and for helping create these heartwarming moments. Happy 13th Birthday, Scout! We hope your day was as wonderful as you are!
