We’re still thinking about this great day a couple of weeks ago! Neal and Daniel caught up with Shane Badon out on Ocracoke Island, North Carolina. It was such a beautiful day that they just had to get out of the office for a little while.

Shane is a great friend to all of us at Specialized Insurance. A former longtime leader at Erie Insurance, Shane has extended his career in the insurance industry by becoming an agency owner. Today, he owns and operates Sumser Insurance Professionals - New in Richmond, Virginia.

If you haven’t been, JackFest is one of those Charlottesville events that reminds you what community is all about. It’s a day built around kids, families, fun- and supporting families who are going through something much harder.

Come out Sunday, October 18, from noon–4:00 p.m. at Foxfield for kids’ races, superhero dashes, bounce houses, a petting zoo, trucks and emergency vehicles, food trucks, local b**r and w**e, and plenty more.

Best of all, admission is free, and all net proceeds benefit Ronald McDonald House Charlottesville , helping families stay together while their children receive medical care at University of Virginia .
