CRINNGGYYY 😭

1. We never fully submitted our finances to God and viewed money as a burden instead of a resource He entrusted us to steward.

2. We thought making more money would solve every financial problem.

3. We celebrated pay raises while still living paycheck to paycheck.

4. We waited until money was tight to talk about money.

5. We had financial goals but no actual plan.

6. We focused on income but ignored investing.

7. We assumed we'd "figure it out" later.

8. We spent more time discussing bills than discussing our vision.

9. We believed working more hours was the only solution.

10. We avoided retirement conversations because they felt too far away.

The crazy part? We weren't irresponsible, just ignant. No one taught us about money. We were doing what most couples/people do.

Working hard.
Paying bills.
Trying our best.

But we were operating in survival mode. The turning point came when we stopped asking:

"How do we survive this month?"

And started asking:

"How do we steward what God has entrusted to us and build a plan for the future?"

Everything didn't change overnight. But our direction changed!!

And eventually, our results did too. 💜

I almost threw this letter away… 😭

Turns out I still had money sitting in an old 401(k) from a previous employer 👀

So many people switch jobs and completely forget about old retirement accounts while their money just sits there disconnected from their future.

We rolled mine into my IRA so it could keep working toward the future we’re intentionally building 💜

For a long time, we thought TWO incomes meant security.
