More employers are exploring unlimited PTO and not just as a recruiting tool.
Some of the benefits organizations have reported include:
✅ No accrued liability for unused vacation time
✅ No year-end rush to use "use-it-or-lose-it" PTO
✅ Less administrative work for HR teams tracking and managing PTO balances
Studies have found that employees with unlimited PTO often take about the same amount of time off (or even less) as those with traditional PTO plans.
As with any employee benefit, the key is creating a policy that aligns with your company culture, business goals, and workforce needs.
