JP Financial Group How We Work & Fit
Education comes first. We slow the conversation down, explain trade-offs, and focus on planning before products.

We’re not a fit for rushed, transactional decisions. If you value clarity, calm, and collaboration, we may be right for you. Joyce Palmer, a financial advocate for women, helps her clients develop holistic lifetime financial strategies through cash flow management, retirement income planning and long-term care health planning. When it comes to advising women about finances, Joyce Palmer says, “It’s a different conversation! When they work with me they can start to feel brave and confident enough to become financially stable, because they know I’m right there with them. “

As a veteran of the financial services field, with more than 20 years of experience, Joyce believes in empowering women to be proactive in making safe, simple and smart financial decisions. Joyce understands that more women are becoming the head of their household, earning more than their spouses, and starting entrepreneurial ventures. This is why her goal and her mission is to instill financial confidence in women in a manner that is comfortable and compassionate to their unique needs. Friday Five: Five Questions to Ask About Your Retirement Income

Retirement is more than knowing how much you’ve saved. It’s also understanding how your resources may work together to support the life you want.

Here are five helpful questions to start with:

1. When might I want to retire—and when might I claim Social Security?
2. What monthly expenses will I need my income to cover?
3. What income could come from Social Security, a pension, savings, or other sources?
4. How might health care and unexpected expenses affect my plan?
5. How can I make my savings last through different seasons of retirement?

You don’t have to answer every question today. Starting the conversation can help you feel more prepared to make decisions.

What’s one retirement-income question you’ve been thinking about?

Quick heads-up for my Medicare friends: there's a one-time $90 payment heading to Part B folks this week — automatic deposit, no forms, no sign-up. It's legit, paid out of a Medicare fund.

If it lands in your account, that's what it is. If it doesn't and you think it should have, Medicare's line is 1-800-633-4227.

Just didn't want anyone wondering about a mystery deposit. Hope you're all doing well out there.
