What services do I offer as a bookkeeper? I have ongoing month to month options as well as one time services!

1. Monthly Bookkeeping. This is our full service option. Each month, I'll make sure your books are in perfect working order by matching transactions, reconciling accounts, and running reports. We also check in via video to make sure you understand the numbers on those reports!

2. Clean-up/Catch-up Projects. These are one time services that help clean-up or catch-up any bookkeeping work that is not complete, or that has been done incorrectly. I will take it apart and put it back together so your books are clean moving forward.

3. QuickBooks Training: If you are a business owner who uses QBO but wants to make sure you're taking advantage of all the features it offers, we can meet one on one to look at how to best use the software for your business.

Spent my afternoon attending a Bookkeeping Bootcamp. It included training on prepping for 1099 season, tips for scaling my practice, and best practices for improving my systems and workflows. It was a great afternoon of learning and I am feeling excited and energized for the next year for my business!

Quickbooks tip!

When you are categorizing transactions from your bank feed, watch out for those “auto rules” that Quickbooks can apply. Meant to be a time saver, not all auto rules get applied correctly, so it pays to double check them or turn them off!

I personally prefer to not use them - it’s sometimes quicker to self categorize something than go back and re-do something that was done incorrectly!

Your time is valuable ⏰

When I’m busy, the first thing usually off my list is meal prepping and planning. It’s not that I don’t think meal planning is important, it’s because meal planning is one of my least favorite activities. I don’t mind the actual cooking process, I just hate deciding what to eat for dinner and all the prepping that comes with it.

We do this in our business too. When we get “busy” the first thing off our list is that thing we like doing the least. What is that for you? Marketing? Networking? Managing your Social Accounts? Bookkeeping and Accounting?

Once we recognize what we’re doing (or more appropriately, not doing) we need to ask for help. All of those things we put off doing in our business (and personal lives too) can be outsourced, it’s just a matter of deciding where our time, money, and energy should be best spent.

Discovery calls 📞

If you’re looking for a bookkeeper and send me a request, the first thing I do is schedule a discovery call.

During our discovery call (usually via Zoom, because I like to see faces!) we talk about your business goals, your current bookkeeping process, and what you’d like to change about it. Then I’ll request a review of your current bookkeeping system so I can put together a proposal.

I love doing discovery calls and meeting cool business owners. I love even more taking bookkeeping off their very full and busy plates.

I just had a great phone call with a fellow bookkeeper/entrepreneur/kick butt mom and the last thing she said was to celebrate my milestones. My one year business anniversary is coming up later this year, and I’ve already put the celebration on my calendar!
