Credit Card Hack...

1. Know Your Statement Closing Date
This is the most important date—not the due date.
The balance reported to the credit bureaus is usually the balance on the statement closing date.

2. Make Payment #1 (Before the Closing Date)
Pay down most of your balance before the statement closes
Goal: have 1–9% utilization showing on the statement
📌 Example:
Credit limit: $1,000
Ideal reported balance: $10–$90
If your balance is $600 → pay $510–$590 before the closing date
This is the payment that impacts your credit score.

3. Make Payment #2 (By the Due Date)
Pay the remaining balance
This avoids interest and keeps the account in perfect standing
This payment protects your wallet, not your score.

Credit scoring looks at:
Payment history (on-time payments)
Credit utilization (how much of your limit is used)
By splitting payments:
You control what gets reported
You still pay the card off responsibly
You avoid maxing out or high reported balances

What This Hack Is NOT
❌ Not double-paying interest
❌ Not gaming the system illegally
❌ Not carrying unnecessary debt
It is simply timing + strategy.

💔 A mother should not have to figure out how to finance her child’s funeral while she is grieving.

I recently heard a heartbreaking story about a mother whose son passed away unexpectedly. In the middle of unimaginable grief, she is now trying to access the equity in her home just to have the funds to properly lay her son to rest.

But there are two financial challenges making an already painful situation even harder:
Her credit is creating obstacles to accessing the money she needs.
And unfortunately, her son did not have life insurance.

Now, this grieving mother may have to wait another three weeks before she can access the funds needed for his final arrangements, unless she turns to a GoFundMe and hopes enough people are able to help.

This is why I talk about credit, financial preparedness, and life insurance. It is not just about numbers, policies, or credit scores.
It is about having options when life happens. 🙏🏽

None of us wants to think about losing someone we love. But preparing ahead of time can help ensure that when a family is already dealing with grief, they are not also scrambling to figure out how they are going to pay for everything.

What Is a Credit Score?

A credit score is a numerical representation of your creditworthiness — in other words, how likely you are to repay borrowed money responsibly.
This score is calculated based on information in your credit report, including your payment history, the amount of debt you owe, the length of your credit history, the types of credit you use, and recent credit inquiries.

Why It Matters:

Lenders, landlords, and even some employers use your credit score to evaluate financial responsibility and determine the level of risk in doing business with you. A higher credit score generally indicates a lower risk, which can lead to:
✅Easier approval for loans and credit cards
✅Lower interest rates
✅Better leasing opportunities
✅Increased financial trustworthiness

Maintaining a strong credit score is an essential part of achieving long-term financial stability and independence. While my focus is helping you achieve overall strong wealth, this is one of the foundational things that have to be addressed before you build strong!!!
