Grateful, Uncomfortable, Surreal!
Those are the first words that pop in my head as I reflect back on our first ever seminar event we held last week.
Grateful because you put in a ton of work trying to make it happen, spend A LOT of money, and all the while hope people will actually show up!
Uncomfortable because I’m just a roughneck from the mountains who has never done anything like this. Who am I to try and teach people how to invest.
Surreal because a lot of people think otherwise and paid their hard earned money to listen to a kid who grew up in ditches trying to and fumble his way through a training presentation!
and I made the decision to try and pull this off about 2 weeks before the event date we set. I told you I do my best work with an unrealistic timeline! I think I can speak for both of us when I say that I was amazed at the turnout we had. Especially with almost no advertising. We had an A-Team set of speakers who have real input and, in my opinion, breathed a breath of fresh air into the room. They spoke on things each person in the room will experience when they begin, or continue their investing journey. I would like to extend a HUGE Thank You to .garrett2 and all the others who have up their time over the course of the 2 day event to share some wisdom. It will not be forgotten.
So that leaves only one question. Do we do more?
