Did You Know? WVABLE incentivizes employment for individuals with a disability through the ABLE to Work Act.

For 2026, eligible employed WVABLE accountholders may contribute up to an additional $15,650 to their WVABLE Account above the standard annual contribution limit of $20,000 - providing an opportunity to save even more for their financial future.

FAQ Friday: How Much Does It Cost to Open and Own a WVABLE account?

A: There is no fee to open a WVABLE account. And there is no cost to maintain a STABLE account.

You will need to make an initial deposit of at least $25 to get started. Once the account is funded and the account is in active status, STABLE account will issue a $25 grant to match this initial deposit.
