As part of the Illinois Farm Bureau Adopt-A-Legislator program, we were honored to welcome Illinois State Representative William Davis and a group of his constituents to Coles County. Representative Davis serves the 30th District of the Illinois General Assembly.

We started the day visiting Top End Ag, owned by Kris & Mattie Heller. Kris serves as a director for CCFB, and Mattie is a member of the Young Leaders group. We learned about their seed sales operation and had time for some questions from the group.

We traveled to CKkc Farm Goat Milk Products where we learned about goats, saw the milking parlor, and even got to sample goat milk, ice cream, caramel, and cheeses! Thank you to Kacie and Collin Richey for their hospitality and opening up their farm to the group.

We ended the day at Rural King's Hangar at the Coles County Airport. We learned about Rural King's operations and how they invest back into our communities. Thank you to Nathan Schrock and Andrew Schrock for spending the afternoon with our group!

Thank you to everyone who made this day possible. There is so much diverse agriculture in our county, and it was great to share the day with an urban group.
