We're LIVE from the CFWV Student Success Summit at the Charleston Coliseum and Convention Center. Pictured is our program director Roxanne Clay and West Virginia Jumpstart Savings Program Director Annie Norrod.

The summit is a statewide conference that brings together educators, counselors, and student-support professionals to share strategies that improve student outcomes from K-12 through postsecondary success. It features keynote speakers, breakout sessions, and networking focused on college and career readiness, student support, and building stronger pathways for West Virginia students.

Ready to take the plunge?
Soon, Jumpstart Savings participants can take the plunge by investing in the West Virginia Money Market Pool! The goal of the WVMM portfolio is to maintain sufficient liquidity to meet the needs of the participants while striving to earn a return above inflation. The risk factor is low and managed through numerous maturity restrictions, diversification, guidelines, and credit limits.

Changes are coming to increase earning potential. The Jumpstart Savings Program will soon be offering a state tax-advantaged investment account through the West Virginia Board of Treasury Investments (BTI).

The BTI’s West Virginia Money Market pool maintains the highest S&P rating, limiting exposure to losses due to credit risk. It also boasts a strong capacity to maintain principal stability.
