🚨 SCAM ALERT: Protect Yourself from Fraudsters! 🚨
We've been made aware of an increase in scam attempts in our area involving individuals impersonating financial institution representatives and government officials, including the FBI.
These scammers may contact you by phone, text, or email, claiming there is an urgent issue with your account or that immediate action is needed to protect your money.
⚠️ If you receive a suspicious call or message, remember:
✅ Beware of anyone pressuring you to act immediately. This is a huge red flag. Scammers often create a false sense of urgency to trick you into making quick decisions.
✅ Never use links or phone numbers provided in a suspicious message.
✅ Never share personal or financial information, including account numbers, passwords, PINs, or verification codes.
✅ Hang up immediately. Do not engage with the caller or follow their instructions.
✅ Contact your financial institution directly using the phone number on the back of your card or its official website.
